🧭 Meet Your Guide
Hi, I’m Sam — a professional photographer and workshop leader with a passion for capturing the night sky. I’ve photographed in national parks across the country, but nothing compares to the surreal silence and clarity of Colorado’s dark-skies at high elevation!
When I’m not out in the mountains flying my drone, you can find me exploring national parks looking for the best compositions! I believe I’ve found some of the best available and think you will agree.
I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to meet you and hope to share the sublime experience of the starry sky overlooking iconic landscapes.
💬 Testimonials
“We took a 2 day private workshop with Sam. It was extraordinary. Sam was a great teacher. He showed us how to use the star tracker and gave us all kinds of crucial tips we would not have been able to figure out from YouTube videos. We were able to make amazing photographs of the Milky Way on our own by the second night. Sam is incredibly knowledgeable and patient. I highly recommend him.”
— An-my, New York“It was like seeing the sky for the first time with stars and no light pollution. Made me think of how small we actually are compared to anything in space.“
— BJ, Texas
“Marvel at the immensity of the cosmos while standing on the precipice of a 2,000ft canyon.”
— Paul, Tennessee
